Mole in the Hole
Mole in the Hole
Hey there mates,
i have a prob in this mission...Colonel is captured but the game won't recongnize that.
What's the prob really?I am trying to capture him outside the wagon so i will be able to take the documents from the officer too but when he stand on his knees inside the cabin it's impossible to go over him and take the papers,if this is a solution to my prob.
Thanx for your time...

Re: Mole in the Hole
G'day and welcome to the forums
Interesting bug. All you have to do is climb inside of the carriage and tie him up, what exactly is preventing you from going over to him? is there something in the way? does it let you tie him up?

I did tie him up but nothing happens.
When i said i can't get over him and take the papers from the officer,i mean i can't mover over the colonel himself because he is stucked in his cabin.
Anyway i managed to get him out of the cabin and captured him elsewere,i got the papers but nothing happens.

Re: Mole in the Hole
Only thing I can suggest is loading a saved game from before you captured him if you can, otherwise you will probably just have to start the mission over again. Not heard of issues with this map before, at least it's a small map
Re: Mole in the Hole
When i said i managed to capture him in another place,i mean i restarted it and captured him elsewhere...otherwise i can't do anything. He doesn't move,he stays on his knees and that's all.

Re: Mole in the Hole
Okay I have played through the mission to refresh my memory just for you
The mission is as I remembered it, when you capture Harald Freiberg at the end of the tunnel he is in a carriage and it goes to a cutscene. It force ends with a cutscene of you capturing him.
See where the currently highligthed solider is, that is the carriage Freiberg is in.
See him surrending, when you go up to him closer it ends the mission. (I think I do now remember once it happened to me that it did not trigger the cutscene.)
Does this help? Is this the enemy you are capturing?

Re: Mole in the Hole
"I haven't played in ages", I was meant to explain those lost souls you see I didn't forget about the guy on top of the carriage but the bastard always gets me if I try to get him from below rather than going around the left side of the other carriage (I was lazy). My next guy got hit when coming out of the next carriage up by the enemy on the left behind the door, again I knew he was there I just ran out of ammo Poor Broadhurst, he is my number one solider.
Side note, Czakowski with a M1 Garand is deadly, I love just shooting random un-aimed shots at enemies with him. You will be amazed at how many one-shot kills you get by doing that.

The mistakes you made are amateurish.
Yes I use him as my fourth man sometimes with the M1.

Re: Mole in the Hole
Agreed, I obviously had no intention of playing the mission for real.
I feel the need for a H&D challenge
