hi,

someone knows how to make his own server here ?
i know that some (old) players rent a server ( dedicated, virtual private ?), install themselves h&d2 on it and are able to creat many h&d2 servers. ( example: oY, Fis)
Do you know what kind of server need i rent and how install h&d2 on it ?

All you really have to do by my understanding (and my friends next to me) is hire a windows server in the UK or US (best place to) and then install H&D2 on it via VPN or however they allow you to access it. Basically all you need is a server that matches the requirements of the game. Search around for dedicated game servers on google. You maybe able to find one that has the option to install H&D2 on it already some come with games you can install automatically... from memory... anyone correct me if I am wrong as I am not 100% sure, hope this helps!

I was able to sucessfully create my own server after getting an Public IP for free as it was one of the options in my modem's setup.

Man, I might be able to make an habbit of creating this H&D2 Occupation server for Australian H&D2 players, then we don't have to play on those laggy european ones where our bullets don't count. The only problems with my current server is that I'm running Windows XP on a 2.21GHz machine, so I am limited to 8 other players than me, and sometimes you can shoot anything because my machine laggs out.

Don't forget your upload speed has to do with connection stability.

Yeah, I forgot about that, but I found the culprit to the lag, I had spawn protection on, thats why I couldn't shoot when I spwaned sometimes, LOL.
