setting up server router

setting up server router

I have a strange problem trying to host a game using a router
i have port 11001 open but as soon as I make a server
my modem is shutting down power en reboots  over and over
using wrt54g v7 router

anyone else having this prob ????

i only open up port 11001 but do i need to open up a range of ports ??
say 11001 to 11005 f.i

Open ports 11001-1004 for hd2 27900+28900 for a list at gamespy
