hello,

like you all know, if you play a game for a long time, you are able to know the soundtrack of the game by heart. This happend to me to.
I played H&D2 for a veeery long time, and i know all the soundtrack;-)

Yesterday, i watched a movie on dvd. K-19, with Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson starring. So, when i watched the movie, i always had to think on H&D2 cause i knowed the soundtrack...
In the mission of Hidden and dangerouse2 where you have to steal the enigma and to destroy 2 german ships, there is a special soundtrack which is ONLY in that mission ( only when enemy dont know you are there ) ...
This soundtrack appears very often in the film K-19 for most of the film sequens in the U-Boat.

So, i was wondering, if this isnt illigal ?
I only noticed it and wanted to ask, if anyone else saw the film, or even know more about this "soundtrackstealing" ?

Sorry for my bad english, if you dont understood everything, please asked me to say it on anotherway ;-)

Are you 100% sure it is the same music piece?

I?ve seen many similiar questions because some musics just sounds similiar to the other, F.E. some music used in Lord of the Rings movie sounded like main theme of some other movie (I really cannot remember which movie) because they used almost same instruments while making.

Absolutly 100 %
I am an Film-, and Game- Soundtrack freak :P
I AM 100% sure ... so, if you dont belive me ... play the mission in H&D2 100 times, and then look the movie K-19 ... then you will se ;-)

Perhaps someone got the soundtrack cd from that movie ?
That would be a nice way to confirm that this is exaktly the same soundtrack as in H&D2.
I'll take a look in the i-net to find the special soundtrack of the movie to compare it. Perhaps you can help with searching ;-)

Well I have not seen K-19, but other possibilities could include the orchestra that made the musics might have been invovled with K-19 or they might have asked permission to use that music etc etc.

I am not sure but I think these might be some reasons :)

yes you are right...

...but, forget about it,
I only noticed it, and i was only interesstet if someone else saw the movie or perhaps noticed aswell that there is a same soundtrack...
The most real theory is just like you said, that they "asked" that they could take the soundtrack...

asked" that they could take the soundtrack
Not bloody likely. There would have been quite a lot of money involved if they were expecting this film to be some sort of blockbuster. & as we all know, IS are not to keen on giving things away.
