Hi all,

Just a question about voice comms in H&D2.

I'm thinking about using skype (think that's how you spell it) does anyone use this and if so, how easy is it to setup and are there any probs, like lag and stuff?

Oh yeah... and how exactly to you set it up to use in the game?

Quick answer (as iam in a rush)

Dont use skype for games, takes to much of your internett speed :)

Use: Ventrillo or Teamspeak

Using TeamSpeak2 is very easy, or Ventrilo. I myself favor TS2, since it is easier to host yourself and so on.

http://www.goteamspeak.com/

There you can find everything considering TS2, FAQ?s, hosting etc. Also, TS2 does not take your bandwith so much so it is possible to host a TS2 server and have like 3-4 guys there and still play a game without lag, but it depends on your connection speed.

Skype uses higher quality sound than Teamspeak I believe, so it takes up more of your bandwidth.

I use Teamspeak myself, it gets the job done and doesn't affect my ping on H&D. For teamspeak, it operates independantly from all games - what you do if you want to use it, is launch the Teamspeak client, then put in the IP of the server you wish to join (note: you don't need to put in the IP every time, it remembers the IPs/usernames of the servers you join). Obviously there needs to be a Teamspeak server set up for you and whoever else is playing to use, and you need to know its IP. You can set a server up yourself if you download the Teamspeak server client, but I've never done that so I can't help you there.

H&D actually does have an in-built voice communication system, but I've never seen it used. I've heard it causes major lag...
