What's your favourite Sabre Squadron mission?
I would have to say its a draw between Deadfish & Ponte Grande. I voted for Ponte Grande because I like action more than stealth but Deadfish is a close second for sure! Got to love that lighting! :D

i too chose ponte grande, but to be honest ive had S.S. little over a week and im already getting quite tired of it, i almost selected Razor Blade for that reason.......
its a shame that nothing has come close to the Spaghetti Airport of H&D2.

Spaghetti Airport sucked

u say that, but from the historical context of blowing up planes and fuel/ammo depots of the LRDG, the mission has to be one of the more realistic........(mind you, i am a slight ww2 geek)
thinking about it tho, i really should get round to downloading H&D dulux sometime, the missions in that really stood up to my mates description "of every world war 2 commando movie in a game!"

Yes Deluxe is well worth getting.
Ponte Grande is based on a real operation, a lot of the missions in Sabre Squadron are :D

Ponte grande is the coolest. Its a cool action-packed explosive mission, and it looks so goddamn nice...
I also like that mission in which you have to kill a gestapo officer meeting with a french mayor. It was so cool watching his limo explode :D

Yeah they are just MP maps. I was hoping for a SP snow mission

yeah me too, really love those snow missions in hd2, (and hd1 for that matter) but considering this features ardennes, and that brits never went to the ardennes.... it would be kinda stupid :) funny, but stupid.
iam glad they stick to norway on sp though, gives NR some home maps :)

the brits never officially went to the ardennes, unofficially well, who knows!!!but considering this features ardennes, and that brits never went to the ardennes
i was watching a tv show about the history of the SAS, especially during ww2. soooo many map ideas........
:D

ok........... although some of them seem a lot like the missions in h&d1/fff/H&Dd so bare with me............Well, share them with us
recce of the d-day beaches
attacks on railway depots and junctions
patrolling/recce ahead of the main american/french thrust towards paris (a campaign in it self!) (one story told is how a SAS land rover disected a advancing german column just out side paris, with no casualties......and where able to bring down air support.......)
there where loads more but my memory is fading as im getting old and senile :?
although my favourite one is of the SAS in the phillipines in 1947 fighting the dreaded communists (imagine a campaign much like the greece campaign from FFF/H&Dd but with jungle like Burma.)

Actually considering its a SAS game i think your supposed to be playing out the SAS. I woulda enjoyed thge mission allot more if i had a twin vickers k on my jeep rather then a friggin 30 cal machine gun which shoots slower then i fire the semi automatic weapons.
