I have a quick question regarding the standalone HD2 game and patch 1.12. I read in the readme that this patch would update many aspects of the game and include several features that come with sabre squadron. As soon as I started playing though I noticed the AI doing some of the most unvelievably stupid things I have seen in a game, from both my squad and the enemies. There's a point in mission 1 where you come across a stuck Nazi truck. As soon as I started the attack I managed to blow the thing up, but then I noticed a survivor standing in front of one of my proned men. Neither of the attacked. Then I decided to shoot the german and noticed another of my men bouncing against a tree and an enemy bouncing against the other side of the tree.

I wonder if you need the expansion in order to have the patch work correctly. Also, con somene specify exactly what features are added in SS and the patch?

Strange.... I had similiar problems back in 1.02 - 1.05 (in 1.06, atleast I did not find so much), but in 1.12 they were eliminated.... strange indeed.

That?s why I use tactical map in most of the stuff I want AI to do with me, reduces the amount you need to play with your AI guys.

Could be something buggering up something during the patching, did you patch the game using more than the 1.12 patch or did you install the game and patch it right away using 1.12?

I would suggest a fresh install then straight patching but H&D2 is well known for odd bugs. At least H&D1 had more 'predictable' bugs. H&D2 - well anything can happen at any time

Yeah, even H&D2 is great game, it has load of unpredictable bugs which may happen in any second.

But as Jason suggested, try fresh install and then try to patch the game.
