I did some looking and someone put up the files on Fileplanet! the main unofficial mappack is there, as well as another zip file with all the other maps in it!!

Hmm do you have to register and to pay to download any file?

I don't think so... I thought fileplanet was free with 'normal' servers and paid subscriptions have access to faster no wait servers.

I didn't try to get them as I found them all already...

I don?t know but again i fell pissed off by the net ... I?ve worked on some maps very long and if ppl are trying to make money with it it just sucks... even these files will not downloaded much from their site (so I guess at last)

weird... I have no paid subscription and I can download other files in the HD2 area... just have to wait for them. Wonder why these are different? Not like someone gets paid for uploading them... and Fileplanet didn't put them there. I wonder if someone uploaded them to the wrong setting or area...

Too bad- would be a great way to get these (thank God I already have them!! LOL!)

you can sign up free for fileplanet/gamespy
and have access to all the downloads

or you can subscribe, which will give you access to private servers, and faster downloads

but its all the same files

No one asked if they could host the files or make an new zip of it ... so i really don?t know what they have put in that 2nd 50 mb mappack
Normaly with files witch are more wanted from anyone they have servers witch are private (with paying) and an public server with some time to wait till you can download. But as far as I?ve checked it yesterday they only put up an private server.
Well yes I don?t think that they will earn much money with it .. most of the money will go into the file and gameservers. Anyway...
