when i was playing H&D2 there were a ton of choices with SS it seems there are generally 2 open and the rest are password protected. what gives

I agree. Most people who still play H&D2, are from Europe and play while we (from USA /Canada, etc.) are going to school or at work. However, there are still a few H&D2 faithfuls out there.

For example: We had to schedule our VTM sessions on the weekends, so we could actually play with larger groups. This works out well, since there are a lot of good players in Europe

I think most lock their servers, so they can keep out certain players, who connect, only to cause trouble. There are also new modded maps, like VTM & Partisan, in which you'll need to download files, in order to play. (These maps are usually locked, because they have special rules and requirements.)

What kinda server do you like? And do you have msn?

currently yes, but I look at all hours and still find only a few the 5+ hours difference isnt all that much. I look at 0700 and still only find one, perhaps two rooms and usually it has one poor sod in it.

how do you go about gettin an invite to these groups? I'm refining my play after being away for about a year but still feel i am a decent player.

I like nearly anything, mostly CO-op and occupation though

I'm completely new to the multiplayer sideof things and this forum. I take it that the grey servers are private games? Anyone onhere have an open one I can join in sometime please? I like the occupation type. Are there any missions where you get to kill Russians?

The grey servers are different versions of HnD2. To get rid of them click on the server filter & then tick the "same version" box as they are totally useless to you.

Cheers bud. There were only 3 or 4 black games listed amongst the list. Is it normal for there to be only this few? When you say version - you mean 1.06 or 1.1, etc..?

Also, do I need to put the H&D2 disk in to play those missions instead of the Sabre Squadron disk? Will I get a different list of games to join?

Yes, those are the "versions" and yes sumtimes you get ony 4 servers.

Do you have msn messanger English?

If you do when Im not playing sumthing else, I can allways host for you guys.

But I run a custom mpmaplist and weapons are only availible by what existed in piriod.

Do they always have to be in first person or is this a rule that the host sets?
