New map: Normandy2C

Unread post by So4RuShu » Sat May 07, 2005 9:36 am

Hi, I modded the map Normandy2 to my new version Normandy2C!

In this mod there's a Browning MG at the balcony of the bank and in the house opposite there's another browning, at
the axis side there's a MG42 inside a house (at the same place as in singleplayer) and opposite the house there's another MG42!

But now the best: 2 tanks were added, too! A Sherman tank at the allied start point and a Panzer 3 tank at the axis start point!
We have already tested it on our servers, it has runned without mistakes!
It is really funny!

Here are some screenshots:

Here's the link to the download (sorry, my server is very bad, so Jason, can you please upload it onto your site?):

You have to change something in your "mpmaplist.txt" if you want to open a server, but that's very difficult! I tried to explain it in the readme, but the manual isn't very well. If you have problems with that, contact me here in this thread or per private message.
Alternative I have a correct mpmaplist, only use it if you have the Add-On "Sabre Squadron"!

This mod makes the level more difficult, and gives a new game experience.

Have Fun with it!

Sounds Fun :D

one question though, does it have all the side doors and rooms from 2b or is it just like 2?

edit:Just tried it out, stable as all the other maps and great 6 player map thanks again :D

It has only like Normandy2, because in Normandy2B there are too much obstacles for the tank, so you can only drive a few metres.

But I'm working on a Normandy2B mod, without tanks, but with MGs and Jeeps.

Looks good. I'll have to give it a try. I've always wanted to try N2 with tanks. Perhaps if you're looking for something else to do you could try adding tanks & guns to maps like Ardennes 2. :) Its amazing how just a small change can alter a map.

What things can you actually add to a map? What objects I mean, can you add boxes, barracades, sandbags, things like that?

Mind if I put the download link up on our forum?

I can only add things you can use, like tanks, MGs, ammo boxes, etc.
Sandbags and other objects - that's for me impossible at the moment!

And I'll try to add tanks to Ardennes2! My clan friend Sn@ke is working on Czech4 with tanks, it's quite ready.

I'm just wondering actually how you managed to add the tanks to N2 when there are no vehicle spawns? I know how people can change the vehicles on maps that already have them but how do you add them when there are non already?

You know the Mafia Editor DC|ED? I exported the models and the Object definitions from both tanks from Normandy3 and imported it in Normandy2.
For the Panzer 3 I used the coordinates of the axis start point and for the Sherman tank I used the coordinates of the allied start point.
