I tested it on 1.12 and it came up with this...

But I do have the 1.12 no-cd crack on, maybe if someone who doesn't have the crack on can test the file in 1.12

Could anyone tell me if this works and where the bloody hell is the exe? I looked in my H&D2 program folder with no exe file/

You just grab the file above my last post, then unzip to your H&D2 directory it worked for me back then...

I'm not sure if its me putting the file in the wrong place or the file not working period. I went to my Illusionsoftworks program file where the H&D2 files reside. From there I don't what icon to paste. When I look up the exe its the shortcut and it obviously can't be posted there. I lost as to what file I'm looking for.

I just realized that I have 1.12 version. Jason, what did you do to fix the checking sum error on your version? I'm sorry for pulling this thread again but I'd really enjoy having the P08 silenced in my campaign.

Well my directory is: C:\Program Files\Illusion Softworks\Hidden & Dangerous 2 and the hd2.exe is in there with the HD2_SabreSquadron.exe, you do have Sabre Squadron yeah?

I just run the patch file: hd2ss.exe and it worked and said 1.12 supported, status patched - what message do you get when you run the patch / mod file?

My utmost apologies for dragging that out, but I would love to say that it was with result.

Thanks for your help Jason. With a little backtracking I realized I hadn't properly unpacked the file. A minor error that drove me in circles!

THE P08 silenced in my opinion should have been standard in the loadout but now I can enjoy that wholeheartedly.

Standard? The suppressed P08 is probably one of the most historically unrealistic weapons in the game.

An invention by Hiram Maxim in 1902, the first supressors could be fitted and were later advertised in American and European store catalogues with Lugers with the intention to kill rats in the basement without drawing attention.
The Gestapo were equipped with suppressed Lugers and PPk's when working undercover to infiltrate Allied spy networks.

Seen those, but those are movies... I am not grumpy just making a statement. If I was grumpy I wouldn't be on the forums at all. I don't eat beef, I eat veal.

Those videos are modern, and the suppressor attachment methods are sort of makeshift. I didn't say they didn't exist now or before. Just that they are probably one of the most unrealistic weapons in the game. Furthermore my comment was directed at your ascertainment that it should be standard, when it is very clearly not standard.

These weapons, are not the weapons that you would be seeing while on operations as an SAS unit. One time by chance during the many years of war maybe, but not as much as would be seen if they were openly being used in single or multi like the De Lisle.
