C6M2 OPERATION OVERLORD: BLADE DANCER

Unread post by Pradeep1 » Mon Oct 24, 2011 6:43 pm

Hi,

I was Playing HD2 for long time. 2 days back i moved to "C6M2 OPERATION OVERLORD: BLADE DANCER" stage and after some time I saved and Exited from Game. Today i continued from where i left. Due to power interruption PC got shut down all of a sudden. Now am seeing "Resume Game" is disabled. Under "Date and Time of Last Saved Game" shows "No Saved Position". So am Unable to load my game.

Please help me. What should i do to get back to my position.I don want to start from beginning.

Try making a new profile and switching between them... might just be a bug, it is not registering the profile folder.

Hi Pradeep

Have you patched to v1.12?
Your problem is similar to unpatched versions. In future patches they have notified of this problem been addressed.

Pradeep,

I do not know if this will work but its still worth a try.

Load your original profile ( the one you were using when you were on Blade Dancer).

Select "Single Player Game" from the Main Menu.

Select "Campaign" under H&D2 Original.

Hopefully you will see your previously completed missions with "Blade Dancer" at the bottom of the list.

Select "Blade Dancer" and then "Start."

With luck, you should be able to start "Blade Dancer" and continue your original campaign. thup01

Hi Pradeep,

Hmm, that is confusing. :?:

- - The simplest solution ... or test ... I can recommend so you don't have to redo all the previous missions.

- Download one of Jason's profiles (Normal & Hard) from the files page or a profile from Major Disaster's.
http://hidden-and-dangerous.net/files/h ... l_camp.rar
http://hidden-and-dangerous.net/files/h ... d_camp.rar
http://belknapenterprises.com/Hnd2/

- Extract the profile and drop it in your profiles folder. Though the profile says "Jason" (or whatever name Major Disaster uses) you can rename it.
- Go to Main Menu - "Change Profile" and select the desired profile - Return to Main Menu
- Select "Single Player Game" from Main Menu
- Select "Campaign" from H&D2 Original
- You should see all the "List of missions."
- Select "Op. Overlord - Blade Dancer" and "start" so you can choose your personnel and load-out.
- You should now be able to continue the mission where you left off.
- When you complete the mission ... you will be able to overwrite the campaign progress.
- If all works right, the bottom entry on the "List of missions" is "Op. Liberator - Billable Entry."
- Finish the campaign as you desire.

- - The harder way
- Re-install H&D2 and hope your original profile still works.

You may find other useful information here as well.

Take Care Pradeep and I hope you find a solution ... Duke thup01

No worries on the delay Pradeep. I understand how the real world can sometimes get in the way. I'm just thankful that it worked out for you.

This forum is a wealth of H&D knowledge since there are definitely some long time H&D players. I only joined the forum this year but I've been playing H&D2 since 2005 and H&D/FFF before that. H&D2 is definitely my favorite game and its the first game I load onto a new system or after a HDD scrub.

In your situation it was just trial and error. I made a copy of one of my profiles plus I created a new profile. Then I tried to resolve your problem. The fact that it worked makes my efforts worthwhile and I also learned something in the process; by posting it in the forum ... our efforts may also help someone else in the future.

You're quite welcome and again, I'm really happy it worked ... Happy hunting! thup01

Aloha ... actually I was working on a PM to Lars but needed to check some things. I'm on the island of O'ahu about 40 km north of Pearl Harbor.
