This is for general discussion about Hidden & Dangerous 2, talk about what you liked or what you didn't like about the sequel. Talk about multiplayer games, setup matches etc.

Actually I dislike the maps, atfirst I was disapointed with Lars in these maps. Then I read the readme and found out he didnt make them. Did you have anything todo with these? :(

I was really looking forward to them.

I think they are distasteful.

Three manned Tiger tanks in the heat, wasting gas, while they are behind friendly lines in tank pits in a friendly base is just unrealistic. Maybe 1 tank patroling, but even that seems like a waste of gas. :x

Manned 38s, uhg I guess sum1 might feel like sitting in there unconfertable chair there but I still feel they should be standing or sitting next to it if there is no sign of airraid. Should have put tank and gun crews standing next to the positions, not manning them. :x

On Af4 I wanted those MGs setup, I had been antisipating using those MGs. :x

I played Af3 and Burma2 straight threw a few times becuz they seemed untampered with. Had fun with those. :?

Cz2 havent done yet was too anoyed with the other maps, and Cz6 I got to the radio and couldnt disable it and the Panther crew wasnt there, again I found out RuShu desided to becum creative again like in Af5. Big turn off, didnt bother finishing it. Maybe later when Im extreamly bored.

I wonder why the broken objectives wernt mentioned in the readme. :o

I hated having to download the previous maps aswell, I would have liked them seperatly and with out the installer. Would have been nice to have that option.

And the RED text in BAD english splashed on the loading screen is really distasteful. Now I have blank white areas on those loading screens.

But ofcourse this is just the way I feel and these maps were not made prioritizing my happyness and Im sure every1 else just loves them!

I wish Lars had made them.....

Shit, even Hippos Cz5 was good.....

@Vitamihn: Sorry, I changed the objectives in Czech6 and Africa5, because there were some technical problems. In Africa4 I deleted the MG, because it was too easy with it. And sorry for my bad English, I'm only 15 years old and I'm a German.

@BerryRacer: The bots are moved from the hangers, not added.I moved them to the flak, because it was too easy first.

Oh, I wasnt knocking you that badly for the english. I just like that page the way it is by default, plain and with the briefing. The whole tagging up of that screen I find herby and ruins the mood for me, then double time being in bad english. LoL

And yes I know you are 15 and German.

I realize the 2 missing OBJs in Cz6 and Af5 were probably technical, I was wondering why they wernt in the readme. Tho that wasnt even close to being a medium deal. :)

Its the "easy" thing that really annoys me. And I know thats why those things were made they way they were, and that pissed me off more. LoL

I feel Lars wouldnt have made "easy" concessions.

I dont find the AA guns to be difficult, they are pretty simple to take out. Only problem is with the messed up hitboxxes occasionally.

You should have taken the MGs out of Af3 aswell becuz it causes a continuity issue in Af4. I mean really, if you find it too easy with the MGs dont use them. Why take them out and ruin other peoples fun?

I think you are refering to why I actually use the forums to have completly rounded conversations that include, sentiments, observations, opinions and ideas that you just dont like...

I think what crusti meant was that some of your discussions might be a bit... pointless ?

its ok to share your thoughts, but what i see here is looking like some good ol' I-wanna-start-a-childish-arguement statement...

crusti's right, if you dont like em dont play em, and for petes sake, wouldnt it be REALLY easy if all the mg's were in place, the tanks unmanned and so on ?

Im not looking for easy or hard, I like it realistic.

Starting an argument? No, I think most of you are too easily provoked. :P

... and I think one or two of you are unthinking about the effects of what you say on other people, and unappreciative of their efforts. tongue01

I like it realistic too, but Africa 4 is a badly designed mission even in SP - it's far too easy, even without the MG42s. You could also argue that the MG42s are unrealistically accurate anyway, so removing them doesn't comrpomise realism.

Im talking about the Tigers being manned and leaving there engines on. no_01

I think your line of appritiation is to thinly spread, softies. fingers01

Fair enough, though that was part of the issue debated. Tanks having their engines on isn't realistic, but neither is an untrained team of SAS infantrymen being able to use a Tiger tank. Take your pick. I wouldn't have minded the flak guns being manned, they're not hard to deal with, but also when they're manned you can never use them, since on co-op you can't pick up a dead driver and take his seat.

And heh, really need to learn some people skills. Don't you see how rude and unappreciative you were being to So4RuShu? He's done a lot of work to bring those maps to the community. Regardless of whether or not you like the maps, you should at least have the decency not to disparage his efforts in such cavalier and offensive terms. I'm not saying you shouldn't criticise anything because it might hurt somebody's feelings, but there's a right way and a wrong way to criticise, and there was no need for you to present your criticisms in such a personal and disrespectful way.

1st, I dont and wouldnt have used the tanks...

2nd, SAS members were recruited from many branches and fields!!!

Its highly probable there there could be a tank specialist in the group...

More so then a so called "test the gasolines effectivness hour"...

To me, and a few others... Its more fun to pick of crew before they are able to get to the guns then picking off crew while they are on the guns... Difficulty is not a factor in this...

With "skills"... Theres a differance between knowing and employing, it seems not many people understand this...

Anuther 1st, So4RuShu didnt seem to read these boards nor speak english... My words were not directed at him...

2nd, I did say that I liked A3 and B2... And made it clear I knew I was probably the only person that felt that way on these boards... That he shouldnt feel bad if he were to read it... And after I played C2 I liked it...

I was also saying, if he thought it was too easy with the MG42 on A4, why couldnt he just not use it when he played it? Same with other people that thought alike, they could just not use it...

With the crews, they could be standing next to the tanks and next to the flak and still jump into and on them in like a split second... Would have still been "as hard" while staying more realistic...

I wouldn't say it was highly probable at all, but never mind.

And yes, it would be better to have crews stand by and jump in if needed. But is it possible to implement that? So far it's only physical placement that can be modified, not AI behaviour. I don't think it is possible, or surely it would have been done.

Difference between knowing and employing? That's a needless thing to say. If you do have people skills, then maybe you should actually use them, and then you wouldn't cause arguments or offence.

You did say that you thought you were probably the only person with those opinions, but the  insinuates that yours is the only correct view.

Anyway, that's enough behavioural nit-picking for now.

*Sigh* well youre not the ONLY one playing coop now are you?

And i KNOW that if iam playing coop with some guys, and one of them grab a tanks and drive around killing of eversingle german on the map, before i even get there... well that pisses me off, so they avoided this simply by putting vrew in the tanks!
