Hidden and Dangerous .net Forums

I thought with all of the mods coming for half life 2 that it would kill hidden and dangerous, but after playing the game... it's really not all i thought it was. sure it's fun for throw cinder blocks and TVs at people, but... as far as the engine goes, besides the great physics, hidden and dangerous can hold it's own ground. when these new WWII mods come out, they might look a bit prettier, but all they'll be is hidden and dangerous with physics and nicer bullet impacts :) thank god! long live H&D2!

yeah! as long as hd2's honourable fans stick to it... it shouldnt be a problem! :)

the advantage hl2 will have tho is that there is an editor and map maker.

which means you will be able to re-enact the fights from saving private ryan and band of brothers. which is a shame coz the community are crying out for a editor for H&d2. but we have to put up with what we ar given..... :(

man o man... band of brothers was a cool show, but the locations are TOTALLY unrealistic, they were all made for the glory of the movie, the real carentan never had a tthree story cafe with MG42's in it... thats all made up, as for every other town, they are all used over and over as new towns, it's all FAKE, read the book if you want realism. The foy level was filmed inside a studio, it was ALL fake, and as far as saving private ryan goes, it's basically fake too, at least it was filmed outdoors, the d-day scene was the only actual battle that took place, the rest was made up.

you cant expect 100% realism, they are just good stories.

lol yeah, and though its made in a studio i still do find the looks really good!

Hrmmm, I need to upgrade my computer to be able to play Half Life 2 and of course buy it. It will be interesting to see what WW2 mods come out of it :D

(and just to brag, getting a new computer this month, this means i can play coop and actually kill enemys. i cant nowadays cause of all the lag :))

At the moment I use a family pc so I will be getting my own pc shortly :D

I will have it in my room and I doubt I will use it often any way because of work and it won't have the net well depending how much I earn in a month I might get broadband... it all depends :?

well the one iam getting is through the job, so it will be a Dell, but at least its better than what i have.
