What's the difference between "action button" and "action menu" keys?

When I press "action button" key, the context menu appears, but when I press "action menu" key, nothing happens.

Somebody plz tell me how I can use the "action menu" key.

As far as I know "Action Menu" doesn't do anything. "Action Button" is used to interact with objects.

But do you know why the "action menu" key exists when it's obsolete?
I'm curious if it has originally been unusable ever since the game was released.

It is not obsolete; I use it all the time. It brings up the action menu without applying an action. This way you can look at your options. If a menu does not appear, then you have no action options.

So, is it possible to bring up acton menu without approaching any objects?
Does it show action menus like "holster weapon" or "heal myself"?

It works on certain things that you walk up to and get the white semi box on. I don't think I have used it in single, but in multi I have been able to get the menu to appear with out a selection highlighted using it. Useful in about 0.117 % of situations. Far from obsolete.

As for a screenshot; I went in to try it out yesterday and again just now in single, but I was unable to find something that it works on. If I hadn't gone in specifically to try it out I would have assumed it still worked on everything as that is the way I remember it. It seems to work when it wants to work. Again far from obsolete if it is a mini game.

Was it available to use in both unpatched and patched game?
Isn't there any possiblity it became unusable after patching the game?

Yes, of course. Though I believe I have used it recently, that is why I said I use it all the time.
