Can not use multiplayer??

Hello,

I tried to start up the multiplayer section but I can not join any server because all of them stay gray

And the Gamespy feature is worthless because I can not join that either due to some kind of error message saying "wrong version". Is it something with my pc or do I need a patch?

You will need the latest patch (V1.12) for example from this site

I had already downloaded and installed that patch but still no luck, all of the servers stay gray. I'm thinking it has to do something with my firewall settings because with downloading on the "odd channels (if you know what I mean

) I always get an error message related to that.

If you are updated to 1.12 and most of the servers are still grayed out than is the problem that you might runing hd2 only with the main program and you don´t have the addon installed?

There are two 1.12 patches, the smaller is for HD2 with SS installed, the larger for HD2 by it self. When a server is grayed out, it means it is an incompatible version. Have you installed the correct patch for the correct version?

I do have sabre squadron installed, though it's from a two-disc set that came with the Courage Under Fire package. I already had installed HD2 from an other 4-disc set, could this have anything to to with the matter?

I downloaded a huge zip file of 123MB, is this the bigger one for HD2+SS or the smaller one for just HD2?

The other way the small patch is for H&D2 and sabre installed ( http://www.hidden-and-dangerous.net/ss/ ... hp#patches ) and the big one is for the just installed hd2 ( http://www.hidden-and-dangerous.net/hd2 ... hp#patches )

No, you only need one patch; should be very simple to understand, choose the smaller patch that is about 20mb...
