The industry gurus are not confined to "review writing"...

All of the modern industry, everythign that consumer whores thrive on...

I think the people that you are talkign about are drones; mass produced products of modern sociaty...

Thats all; not a big deal to me, no rocking here...

Just making conversation...

Im with Grimp on this; I dont read reviews, Im not into that kinda shit...

I was just readign yours, I also went to gamespot and read it...

Saw your buddy joshphillips and everythign...

Actually, I agree with your comments about modern society. Unfortunately there is not much one can do to change the course society has taken. The best thing we can do is be aware of what goes on and try not to get 100% consumed in it. On the other hand, here we are talking about a product that we like, that we bought, and that we would have never been able to get if there wasn't a demand for it. We ARE part of the cycle whether we want to admit it or not. These industry gurus, as you call them, are not all drones, dude. Believe me when I tell you that some of these guys are among the most independent thinkers our society has to offer. They have some of the most creative and resourceful minds around. The thing is they run a business. It is us, the consumers, who dictate what is successful at retail, and if we buy shit products, these guys will churn them out. You better believe they will milk that cow dry until it no longer brings a dollar to their pocket.

What I'm trying to say is that I am pretty sure any of us would do the same thing if we had the chance. As the primary consumers in the Interactive entertainment industry, we should challenge these guys to produce better quality stuff, and how, by not buying what doesn't disserve your quid. Also, believe me when I tell you that there are a lot of people in the industry who think the way you do. Just read EGM's editorial letter for Jan 2006. You'll see what I mean.

Try to stay on the topic please, even though Major Beavan did generalize pretty much, it is his point of view in this matter and unless if he feels something wrong with it - it is not ours to decide.

In a meantime, try not to turn this into a catfight or political matter :D
