Almost the end of year 2008
Almost the end of year 2008
And what would be a better way to end it like finding your way to a place you once visited VERY often. Some of you might remember me, some don't. Anyways I used to be quite active editing HDD, especially with 3D Studio.
Well life and family came and I haven't done any 3D stuff in ages (sigh).
Anyways, I wanted to to say hi to Jason and Lars and all the other persons that I used to know.
P.S. One of the reason for finding my way here was that I just found out there's going to be Mafia2. Woohoo!

Happy New Year Bighouse.
There's still some of us waiting for H&D3.
We're like that japanese soldier that was found in the jungle 30 years after the war had ended. He didn't believe it was finished so stayed in hiding.

G'day Bighouse, happy holidays, merry xmas, happy new year
Life and family... surely you find yourself on your couch watching tv... you could use that time for H&DD editing
So could I
but I have a nice BIG tv... it has to pay its self off in viewing time
2009 will be fantastic!
You should come back to the forums more, slowly brush up on those H&DD editing skills... write some tutorials, maybe finish H&D Deluxe 2 for me

Of courseWow, there are still people that are actually posting here.

Well hopefully Mafia 2 will raise enough interest for lots of modding tools therefore making H&D3 easier to mod, when they decided to make it and if they use the same engine version... yes, I am clinging on to HOPE

Well at least its possible to hex edit. Not a solution though
At least it allowed me to drive up the Hill in Burma 2 with a Panther.
H&D3? Really???
You should check out Death to Spies.

Re: Almost the end of year 2008
There is no multiplayer (not selectable from demo menu), would be cool to have a COOP but it feel like just a singleplayer game.
Download the demo here: http://www.gamershell.com/download_20919.shtml

Spawn a BMW motorad
You can spawn vehicles in the demo. The demo features three vehicles. BMW bike, Kubelwagen, Blitz 3.6 .
You need the console in order to spawn vehicles.
You know the drill, create a shortcut to the demo's .exe and and -console to the end of the target line.
~ activates console like always.
When ingame press ~ to bring up the console.
Make sure your character is looking upwards, at least 45 degrees upwards.
type in L_createitem vehicle.bike_bmw
And there you have it a free BMW motorcycle.
Remember your character should be looking upwards. If he is looking downwards the vehicle will spawn in the air.
Full list of commands is here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessa ... c=39991932
I find that the vehicles physics in DtS are way better than in H&D2. Vehicles are much less fragile. You can actually joyride without worrying that they will break apart and such.

Re: Almost the end of year 2008
Wow thanks for the info, will need that for when I beat the game and want to have fun
I did beat the demo in silent mode, next time I plan to run n' gun a BMW might help with that
We have hijacked Bighouses topic here, not that he's come back to say hi again
but we'll continue the Death to Spies topic here at Other Games

Yeah, a few months passed again.Jason wrote: not that he's come back to say hi again
About that addon of mine. I could have (or some of you that had it on test) released the M1, but M2 and M3 was not finished so when nobody wanted to continue them it was left there. M2 became very large and I ran to the problem of having too many objects there and it could not do the collision to the rest. It was a problem with the old engine or something.
Anyways I was never any good at making the actual missions (lost my interest at that phase), but I just loved making new scenery with 3D Studio. M1 is playable though so if you want to test it, you can ask it from Lars or Jason.
I could perhaps start to make those again, but it seems a little pointless because I would just be cursing the old engine again and even if I got something done, I think there are not many who would be playing it anymore.
