My Desert Adventure: A bug from the past

Unread post by Jason » Thu Oct 21, 2004 4:52 am

Well after going through the canyon I forgot to destroy a few vehicles so I was driving back and I haven't always been the best driver, well I clipped the edge of rock at top speed. The vehicle twisted around from left to right, in mid-air then hit the ground and landed on its side. We all got out and it continued to tip over landing like this...

Image

Afterwards I got back in and told the team to follow me but I got the feeling someone didn't trust me and was preparing himself for a quick exit of the vehicle.

During my adventure my top shooter Robert came to the conclusion that heavy machine guns and sniper rifles are the best and decided to mix them.

Image

After this long day we came to some more enemy guards, I got Robert to go on ahead and shoot them but he disappeared! He just vanished! He had fallen through the floor! :shock:

5 years, 4 games and still keeping it like the original, at least in the bugs department :roll:

I hope you enjoyed My Desert Adventure as much as I did, until next time :wink:

I have not seen the old fall through the groun d bug since H&D1 all those years ago. Until recently. Not in H7D2 or Sabre Squad, but in UT 2004.

Read into that what you will

I had a 'fall through the ground' bug on Pro Evo 4. The referee fell through the ground... all you could see was his shadow(s) running around. However it didn't stop him from booking people... all you saw in the little video clip was the tip of his head, then his hand appearing through the grass with a card in hand. :?

Speaking of blasts from the past...

I see you finally got this place off the ground. Congrats.

I'm trying to find a pic of the H&D2 box art and having no luck. You got one about 300 x 500 I could borrow?

Well I once had funny bug in H&D2;

In Normandy2, I once found a soldier that surrendered (one of those attackers when you defend the bank\whatever it is), and I took its uniform, and own people started to shoot me. Dunno what bug it was but everytime I took the uniform from him, my squadmates and paratroopers started to shoot me :D .

Another bug I once encoutered in Normandy2 was when the Tiger tank came and I ordered AI soldier to shoot it with Bazooka, and when it hitted to tank, the tank flipped upside down and started to bounced from ground every one second to about 1m height. I dont remember how it did happen but best thing was that when I ordered to shoot again, the tank disappeared but when I tried to go near where it disappeared, it was like there would have been invisible blockage :D

Hmm, I guess your disguise was a little too convincing.
