You missed out the "Looks like an Operation Flashpoint rip-off" option.

I don't care much for it; H&D3 would be my option or Mafia2. Too many similar modern warfare games out there, not enough good WW1 or WW2 games or original ideas, one developer is copying ideas from the other just using a different title.
Played Battlefield II entire 30 min., only do to Internet outage, I wasn?t impressed with game play, nice looking graphics and on-line experience was decent. I guess?. I?m stuck with HD2/SS until next version is released but hell? I?ve got plenty to experiment and hope for improvements out of the next patch and more weapons.

IMO OFP is very suitable for WWII stuff with proper addons, like I once made a copy of the H&D2?s Op. Liberator?s fourth map, and it was fun to play around with it, even OFP isnt so suitable for CQB battles.
Sounds.... hmm... as said, OFP ripoff in own ways, but who knows.

You always have H&D:Deluxe with its level editor

Plently of tutorials on the web site
I wanted to see what you guys thought. I was thinking of maybe adding it to the menu but it seems like not such a good idea

plus I don't want to attract a conflicting group to the site. Although if it has an editor we can always make our own H&D game while we wait for IS to make H&D3.

Yay, and then we can expect IS`s lawyers to be knocking on your doorstep

that is debateable. read the EULA and some of the licencing stuff in the read me. (not that I have for H&D2)
Hell even games which have been supplied with map making programs (like Raven Shield!) if you read the EULA and the "read me" say things like "dont modify our stuff!"

If what this person has to say is true it will be very interesting.
http://forums.3dgamers.com/showthread.php?t=5741
The below info is from the link above.
- The game is going to feature fully destructable objects AND terrain. They've made an engine allowing dynamic terrain deformation. You can dig small holes for cover (real foxholes), blow up nice big holes etc etc. Destruction system is also used on objects. Houses can be destroyed or simply holes shot in (like in red faction). The houses will feature a neet interior with furniture etc as nice little detail
-They licensed the mequon physics engine. Its used for realistic behaviour of all objects, including the debris etc, for full interaction between player and environment. You'll be able to do full interaction with environment, climb trees for sniping etc. Or blow them up to get rid of the snipers. The physics allow chain reactions...
- Theres an own fire system. The game features huge forests, you can start a wood fire if you'd like, since physics system simulates fire spreading etc.
- Theres 100 square kilometers of environment which was modelled using satellite info. In addition to that there 900 square kilometers of automatically generated terrain.
Plus I have heard talk of massive multiplayer.
If all this is comes to pass and if its easy to make mods for it I think they will have a real winner on their hands.

I am with you on that, until Atari or Illusion says thats what it will do then we really dont know for sure.
It does look like that Illusion has bought the Meqon physics engine though.
http://meqon.com/
I see a quote on the engine from a Peter Vochozka from Illusion on the front page of the Meqon web site.
