Do you know what a bugger is? That is pretty offensive...

Actually, don't you think it is pretty cheeky to call me that? fingers01

Oh come now, no need to be cheesed off, its not that offensive. And oh yes what I did was cheeky. Somewhat ironic considering the thread.
But then you'll ask me what was cheeky about it.

Then I'll defend what I said.

And then we'll discuss the finer point of British slang as to what I was trying to say.

And then we'll talk about the slang's geography.

Then we'll discuss British history of slang.

Then we'll cite examples of its modernization.

Then we'll discuss its use in British media.

Subsequently discussing its use in America.

And then we'll its bastardization here.

Then for some fun we'll talk about what slang was uttered by Larry Smith when Scooby cornered him and probably told him to "bugger off."

Then you'll say he probably didn't say that since he probably doesn't watch British TV shows on PBS so he wouldn't know that curse.

Then you'll use that as example of supporting that most American's like me don't understand British slang and so we shouldn't use it.

Or perhaps you might just this whole post to be cheeky....   or offensive.

Hmm, now you bring me back to my original thought, that you don't like discussing opposing views... frown01

With a reply like that you are asking for a reply from me! funny02

Being called a bugger is offensive to me; I am not actually offended though. I was joking, that is why I put the Green face. I assumed you didn't know what a bugger was.

No I wouldn't have asked what was cheeky about it.

Maybe.

I don't know, not that interesting.

I don't know if that would be necessary, it is a pretty black and white issue for me.

I doubt it.

I doubt it.

Definitely if you argue that it does not mean what it was originally intended to mean, which is what it actually means, and actually what I picture the accuser accusing.

I doubt this, but you would have probably brought it up, huh?

This I can guarantee.

No, I wouldn't say that. If anything I would say that most people, including British people, don't understand it, and that they should educate themselves.

Eh... fingers01

Opposing views aren't a problem for me. I was trying to kid with you as I knew you were with me. I was poking some fun at our Sabre Squadron thread that's all. The post is one gigantic, preposterous, ridiculous, asinine joke.  funny02

Was hoping you'd have a laugh. Not hostile in the slightest. Was also taking a chance on you liking the Young Ones, my favorite TV show along with Blackadder.

yes....yes...I was trying to provoke a similar witticism from you. I failed.. no_02

You have to be careful, it is hard to tell if there is any animosity. I wanted to be clear. The post definitely can appear to be "fighting", and I don't want to get into that, because then I get banned! I wanted to snip (in the butt funny01) that dangerous situation for Jordan (), where he might be looking for an excuse to ban me. funny02
