Shame, that BAR looked tasty. I'm surprised the M1 isn't airsoft, there seems to be lots of them about- I'd love an M1/M2 carbine personally,

Re: Airsoft, ww2
So was this an airsoft event or a run around making noises event?
Eight, 8, the burning eight; between Sunday and Monday exists a day so great, it will devastate.
Re: Airsoft, ww2
it was an airsoft event vita, but we have some reenactors there, that were trying out airsoft for the first time, and they had some replica weapons with them :)

Re: Airsoft, ww2
.... yes they did, but this event was more of a roleplay event. So every player doesnt really NEED a weapon. a pack of cigarettes and a cold pint goes a long way with the germans

If I am not 100% wrong I believe M1 is done as airsoft weapon too, but it is far from popular.Shame, that BAR looked tasty. I'm surprised the M1 isn't airsoft, there seems to be lots of them about

Yeah I've heard about the BAR, being made by Inokatsu which will probably mean it will be good but stupidly expensive. Piccy on here as alex's doesn't seem to work http://www.airsoft-news.eu/news.php?20 - near the bottom of the page.
It also says on there that SRC are releasing an MP40 too which could be good. From what I've heard SRC are a budget airsoft gun company but have decent quality internals. They certainly can't be much worse than the TOP version. Now we have a choice of one possibly bad looking replica that can be skirmished and one that looks great but shoots crap.
On the BAR front Warren from shoot n Scoot is also making one- his stuff is mostly converted deacts so you can't call them inaccurate. Linkage here- http://www.shootnscoot.co.uk/ if you don't know about his stuff.
I now have my first bit of WW2 kit, it arrived the other day-
Tanaka G33/40 + ZF-41 scope. ( note to self- change camera date )

Marushin do an 8mm M1 carbine & M1 Garand, Smokey's do a Garand- not sure what calibre. The Marushin are shell ejecting which is cool but not very reliable or practical. Which one is yours Alex? It looks nice anyway. If I am not 100% wrong I believe M1 is done as airsoft weapon too, but it is far from popular.

One thing is for sure:
You could make M1 from M14 if you just know what to do and you are expert of metal and electronical works, and if you can make "custom magazines."
I think that would be quite hard but just remove M14 magazine and possibly shorten the barrel abit and you have M1 by visual outlook.

Re: Airsoft, ww2
Its already been done. There is a company that makes M1 conversion kits for M14s- they're not perfect but they're pretty damn good.
Re: Airsoft, ww2
Nice pics but the first one (the one in the woods) you guys look like some video-game 3D character models.
Nothing offensive but funny
