LMAO
Well the detector is on the run way near the control tower, it must detect the 4th player only if he is "in range".
The reason the 4th man "dies" if you take him, is that there is no room for him on the jet bomber, and so he CANNOT escape. So here's what would REALLY happen; he would be stuck on his own behind enemy lines and likely be captured or killed anyway. That's why you only take three.
I give the #2 man, in the German uniform, an MP43, a Luger (for show), his knife, and an MG34. He drives the VW in, and with his knife HIDDEN but ready, walks on into the control tower building, takes out a cigarette, asks the guard for a light, then pulls the knife and stabs him while he's getting his lighter.
Then he goes back outside, and sets up the MG34 at the edge of the bomb crater near the building... and waits.
The other two go in through the sewer and come out the other crater, near the two hangars at the far end of the field. CAREFULLY come out with their MP43's ready, because there will be one or two Germans around, including the guard at the jet. Use the far 3rd person view to scan around before you show yourself over the crater edge. You should have at least a couple of grenades each, toss one at the jet guard. As soon as it goes off, both dash out and go prone watching for anyone coming from the barracks side of the field.
There won't be many, because that MG gunner usually takes care of all or most of them as soon as they show. Be advised you should SAVE, BEFORE your guys actually come up out of that second crater. It could take several goes...
Make sure you load them up with several time charges and/or panzerfausts, as many as they can carry which is a hint to pick strong guys. After the smoke clears from that initial mad rush, you can just sneak around and snipe any other Gerries around, then go around and casually blow up the rest of the planes. Keep you two man team near the jet, go back in and release the pilot and hotfoot it back to the jet with him, because he won't give you a whole lot of time to get aboard before he starts taxiing away. If one or more of your guys can't make it aboard then, use the map to have them dash back to the start of the runway. The jet will pause there too for a bit before he takes off.
