Re: Anyone needs/wants new landscapes?

I guess so. Just installed H&D deluxe and it worked fine (died in the first mission...practise needed  )
I didn't manage to install 3ds Max 3.0 though, setup doesn't work in 64bit environment. I have to figure something out...maybe WMWare and virtual windows 98 (or XP) or something.

Re: Anyone needs/wants new landscapes?

So, after seeing what you posted about re-generating the old missions, I might consider doing some new landscapes to support the new-old missions.
I just wonder if these stuff still work on Windows 7 64bit.

Re: If you could fix anything about the Insanity 2 engine what would it be?

These are mainly focused on editing... - Ability to add more stuff to the map and still make the collision (on my last attempt that limit was the thing that drove me finally to stop the editing) - Importer/exporter plugins to newer versions of 3d modeling software. that's the 2 main thingies that co...

And unless they make a deluxe version, we're not going to see such things.

Anyone needs/wants new landscapes?

I was just wondering that does anyone play deluxe anymore? My passion for creating something new is growing a bit again and I might actually start doing them again. But it would be pointless (except the satisfaction of doing them) if nobody would play or want to create new missions around it. What d...

Re: Terrain modelling tutorial

kinda late reply but I don't think the information is old. This is how I'm doing it 1. Draw a rough plan on paper. It should contain roughly the form of the terrain and the special places you want to implement. 2. Draw a more detailed picture from each special place. Houses, mountains, harbours etc....

Re: Terrain modelling tutorial

and the funny thing is that you've replied to this today...and today was the day when I thought of "hey, I could go to the Jason's H&D editing forums again and have a look"

Re: Terrain modelling tutorial

I know

When you start making a terrain, it's better to reserve at least 4 hours. 1-2 goes to thinking and playing around then the rest of the time is where you actually accomplish something. And that is why I haven't done any modelling for 4.5 years

Re: I want H&D3 announced in 2009

It would definately need an editor. I didn't like H&D2 as much as H&D Deluxe because of the editor. And if there will be an editor, it should not be as limited as it was in H&D Deluxe, I ran into the max objects limit and then lost my interest. And the reason for that wasn't that I filled the place ...

Re: Almost the end of year 2008

not that he's come back to say hi again Yeah, a few months passed again. About that addon of mine. I could have (or some of you that had it on test) released the M1, but M2 and M3 was not finished so when nobody wanted to continue them it was left there. M2 became very large and I ran to the proble...

Almost the end of year 2008

And what would be a better way to end it like finding your way to a place you once visited VERY often. Some of you might remember me, some don't. Anyways I used to be quite active editing HDD, especially with 3D Studio. Well life and family came and I haven't done any 3D stuff in ages (sigh). Anyway...
