Re: C++ coders needed
I was saying that Dexio and Bollek's unpacker looks like a rip of Jovan's work, using tmp.dll, unless thats a new way to distribute MSVC++ applications without the MSVC++ runtime, maybe, but hmm, still looks sus to me. I cannot promise anything from the source because I suck as an C++ programmer bec...

Re: items.sav - 75% Reversed Engineered
Yes, well I thought I was the first to crash a server in this way because I have never seen it, sorry to whoever's fire I stole. Anyways, it should be noted that seeing all string values are of the ZString-type (or Null-Terminated Strings), the name MUST end with a null character/byte, that is why t...

Re: Anyone playing H&D2 online?
Have you ever worn 1937 Pattern webbing, man it is like that, why do you think they made the latter 1957 Pattern webbing out of stretch nylon? When you try to lie, flat, prone on the ground with '37 webbing the two ammo pouches get in the way, and ofcourse you can't really shoot when that happens, o...

Re: Online Playing
Man that would be super, but seeing as hell you live in Perth and I in Brisbane, I would have to get up there and pay you somehow.
And cheap as chips, what $2.50, hehehehe.

Re: items.sav - 75% Reversed Engineered
I just want to be known as the first one in the history of H&D2 to have a hack that has that power, it helps certify my belief it myself as I never thought I could hack anything before now. But please do take note that THERE ARE INCORRECT MODEL FILENAMES IN THE items.sav file, and this very well be ...

Re: LS3D .DTA archive file format
Yes, thanks, Jovans source is sufficient, but it would definitly help to see the different ways an extractor might be programmed, although I now think Dexio and Bolek's Extractor was an rip-off from Jovan's one, because they both use tmp.dll, but fail to mention anything of Jovan in the Readme.txt.

Re: Online Playing
So thats why when I used to try and find games in H&D Deluxe, it would always just say, Waiting for players..., on the screen? Man and alot of people are playing H&D2 online now since the v1.12 patch, I think they must be all SS players, poor little me, I haven't been able to find Sabre Squadron, an...

Re: SS Free
Obliviously thought SS was for Star S(omething), because it definitly isn't Sabre Squadron.

Re: H&d 3 rumours ?>
If I could document each format of each file, then maybe someone else or another open development team could come in and build an open version of LS3D, .

LS3D .DTA archive file format
Hello, I wanted to ask if anyone has any infomation about the LS3D .DTA archives, I looked at some of the posts in the modding section and it seems some of you have been able to edit the mpscripts.dta archive, if you even have any details on that it might be a start for me to reverse engineer that f...

Re: items.sav - 75% Reversed Engineered
Glad I could help you guys. Also, the Black Beret, ItemID: 103 and High ItemID: 1103, not Black? Then why does it have the Royal Marine ensignia on it, the globe badge that is, and looks black, or am I imagining things and color blind - Oh no, I knew too much hex editing was bad, I knew it. And, I l...

A new guy and some new infomation
Hello, What I've done is taken the time to write an article about the items.sav file in the H&D2 General Section, as I didn't see the Modding Section first up. Now, I've looked at two posts here and studied the .sav files from the TABLES and PlayerProfile folders, and my conclusion is that they are ...

items.sav - 75% Reversed Engineered
Hello, First to answer a few questions that I found answers to in reverse engineering the file format of, and moddifying, the items.sav file, I will describe what I've observed items.sav to do for Hidden and Dangerous 2. Description: The file, items.sav, is used by Hidden and Dangerous 2 to work out...
