Re: Item IDs?
With a truck in reserve carrying all the extras. Then where was it while we were defending the oasis? Why were our supplies and reinforcements air dropped to us if there was a truck already in reserve? Why did we have to find a new truck if there already was one? But there is certainly a lot of wor...

Re: Item IDs?
Too true. I often wondered how my team survived in the desert for more than a day and a half with no water or food and suffered no effects of dehydration or undernourishment.

Re: New Tactical Strategy way better than H&D coming soon!!!
I tried the beta. Its not terrible, although comparing it to HD2 is like comparing apples and oranges. It's very arcade-ish, but it's not bad if you are into the online multiplayer sort of thing. I will admit, it is an interesting concept. As a hero (soldier), you gain rank and earn more credits bas...

Textures
New question, same thread. I need a better quality panel dash board for the jeep. I extracted and found the file and tried to re-texture it myself, but whenever I try do do that sort of thing, it ends up looking like its from an old DOS video game. (Actually, I think Street Rod looks better.) If som...

Re: Savegame Inventory Editor
This is great, can't believe I didn't find it until now. Is there a fix for getting the backpacks to show up yet, or is that a lost cause?

Re: Best WWII Movies of All Time
I managed to find and started watching The Desert Rats". Its pretty good, I've watched about the first 45 minutes of it. Is it fairly accurate?

Shoot weapon out of enemy's hands?
I have been toying around recently in HD2 single missions and I have been trying to figure out how to shoot weapons out of the enemy's hands. The problem is that the jerks keep dying. I have made them drop their weapons in the past, but it was always by accident and usually the enemy runs off (or on...

Re: Tank Simulators
Got it, tanks for the link. It is a pretty good game so far, even though I need to turn the graphics settings down all the way to play it on my slow system. Nevertheless it looks and plays good.

Re: What was your favourite campaign and why?
It could be simple, like you cant run as fast and your endurance drops faster if you are in deep snow. Perhaps even a "Realism" menu to select whether you will be affected by the elements. There could also be a soldier stat that improves how you can perform in different elements.

Re: What is your favorite game genre?
I voted simulation. I have always been into the Microsoft Flight Simulators, particularly because I love aircraft and because they are really easy to mod. I've been making my own "Luftwaffe Afrika Korps" campaign for CFS2 and adding the airfields is really no more than finding the GPS coordinates, t...

Re: Tank Simulators
I have always preferred sim, or at least sim-like. Something like M1 Tank Platoon, but in WWII.

Re: Best WWII Movies of All Time
...but it seems the US and UK can't be bothered making any WW2 movies these days  It's not the trend. Movie companies these days make films about what's popular. This is reflected by the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; no companies wanted to make the movie because they didn't feel that a sci...

Tank Simulators
Can anybody point me towards a good, realistic tank simulator set in WWII? It can't be too new though, as I am running fairly modest system specifications. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I often end up accidentally killing them. The only times I actually did succeed in shooting their weapons out of their hands, it was a fluke.-ViTaMiHnM203- wrote:The only reliable way to do it, is to shoot their weapon out of their hands.
