Re: Server Hosting problem

No, if I toss it out the window you will go and take it ;)

I don't know, I think I'm about ready to just give up.

Re: Server Hosting problem

Hmm, maybe... I always have nod32 disabled, but it does run in the background even when terminated. I'll give it a shot. Edit: .... So far, I disabled nod32....whatever.. Now I have discovered a new port? I was browsing around in the Xp Firewall options and went to my Local Area network Settings and...

Re: Server Hosting problem

Ok, I'm getting pretty pissed off at this point.

I went ahead and enabled Windows Firewall, and added the gamespy ports as well as ports 11001-11004 but still nothing. I aslo added the game exe's but that didn't help.

Re: Server Hosting problem

Alright, I never added the gamespy ports to windows firewall, mostly because I didn't know about them and I always have the firewall disabled. I'm not a big fan of my router for the most part. It is the "recommended" router by my ISP... I think I might have a better chance with a better brand such a...

Re: Server Hosting problem

The only firewall I use is the Windows Firewall, and I have that turned off most of the time anyways. For the DMZ, I turned it on from within the web access area for the router and set it to my computer address (192.168.0.2) Plus, I have also tried using another computer, not that it should make a d...

Re: Server Hosting problem

It never was before when I hosted servers on dial-up. I don't see why that would make a difference now. Although, I never knew that gamespy needed extra ports opened....

Edit: Ok, once again....I set the port 11001-11004 to TCP, same with ports 27900-28900 but still nothing....

Re: Server Hosting problem

Alright, checked for the game info and none was retrieved. I opened ports 27900 - 28900 exactly how I opened ports 11001 - 11004. Do 27900 - 28900 need to be set to UDP or TCP ?

Re: Server Hosting problem

....nope, tried what you said here and it didn't work. I set ports 11001 - 11004 to open with UDP on my IP I did the same with ports 27900 - 28900 Then I even switched ports 27900 - 28900 to TCP to see if it might make a difference, no difference though. In game I where you can select which port to ...

Server Hosting problem

I've looked around at other posts and it seems to be that no one has an answer... This is a server problem once again. I can't set one up. I've talked with another guy in Britain with the exact problem that I have but neither of us could help each other out. When comes down to creating a server, no ...

Re: Game Crashes When You Click Multi-player

Thanks for the info, I recently had this happen with a couple of my computers and couldn't quite figure out what was the matter with them. What Daniel said works just fine, no need to delete your profile. Also, can anybody really explain how this happened? With no real support for HD2, it's hard to ...
