Re: Hi everybody :)

I agree Oldih, funnily enough the German army was based on a more obsolete rifle, but their tactics were outstanding (at least until 1944..) and extremely flexible True, but  it should be also noted that the german squad organisation itself was flexible and basic training even enforced the idea, as...

Re: Hi everybody :)

Yeah, I've read about that too, but still, in certain situations (like close combat) you don't want to let the enemy know that you need to reload, do you? More or less, but again, it should be also noted that squad philosophies and practical princilpes between germans and americans were completely ...

Re: Hi everybody :)

but soon became a decoy, where a "bait" would shoot until the clip was ejected, and a hidden marksman would then exploit the situation, since the enemy was likely to come out and shoot in turn (war is hell!! grin01) Interestingly, this was not found to be entirely efficient. Albeit the "ping" was a...

Re: Hi everybody :)

Collecting militaria is not too odd. My room is more or less full of DDR shit, USSR shit, nazishit, some vietnam shit, british shit, few deac-weapons, one replica, soon-to-arrive several MG ammunition belts with deac-ammunition, MG ammo box and the list goes on. Some of them are reproduced, some ori...

Re: The Quality of Computer Games Today

I can't remember any games that would be unplayable due bugs or anything, but I am snob enough to say that many games these days are quite crappy more or less. Mainly because they lack any decent overall quality. And if there's one thing I hate, that is illogical and 'as artificial as possible' diff...

Re: problems connecting to server running on Vista 32bit

After installing H&D2 + SS to a laptop that runs 32bit Vista, I made a LAN server. No problems encountered, and then I made internet server. Again, no problems. After that, I joined random online server. Once again, no problems at all. Have you tried turning User Account Control off? I did that sinc...

Re: Project: Deluxe restored

Since I have Mauser K98k (deactivated, mixed parts, recheiver dated 1941 and all parts (based on stamps) are genuine made in N-Germany) and german field gear (I own some original and some reproduced), I am able to take more or less pictures about them if needed.

I'd say go for it. If people have game-specific problems, it is easy to just put a tag in the forum thread like "Help visual problems [SS]" or so

Re: Co-Op shooters?

While practically not 'real' co-op in the game, Medal of Honor : Allied Assault and it's first expansion disc, Spearhead, do have a coop mod somewhere and most of the time it worked quite well. But for decent non-WW2 cooping, Left 4 Dead is not too bad. Might be bit repetitive, but the gameplay is w...

Re: THE DOOR KEYS LADS!

I guess you just need to dig deeper. Or it could be that those doors were meant that you cannot open them.

Unfortunately I cannot help with anything more constructive info, since it has been long time since I last time played H&D2.

Re: Serious problem( Steam Piping [AKA blow up Tirpitz])

I would recommend trying out PowerStrip. Some people I know who have had similiar problems have actually began using PowerStrip to solve most of their problems with darkness of their screens.

I believe you need to move a soldier nearby the doors and use the "Use" key to open them. (default is U)

Re: NEED HELP

First of all, wrong section to post  :P Second, you must NOT carry any allied weapons or items around (well expect for knife), otherwise you are instantly detected. Third, if you remain too long in enemy's soldiers line of sight they will eventually detect you. The more soldiers are watching you the...
