H&D Deluxe; the ultimate mod; Mission overhauls
Re: H&D Deluxe; the ultimate mod; Mission overhauls
I know it's set, but the explosions are bigger than those done by dynamite, which is 7000 damage, so how much do these explosions put out?
Re: H&D Deluxe; the ultimate mod; Mission overhauls
Each explosion type has its ID number set in the appropriate table inside data.dta archive.
As i remember the explosions from Italy 3 have power ca. 15 000 or even more.
The explosions from Germany 6 mission have 15000 and 20000 power values set by default.

15,000! Wow.
No wonder they seem so effective.
Now if only the RAF bombed during the day, (like the USAF), instead of at night, one could imagine how much destruction they would have caused with better accuracy.

Re: H&D Deluxe; the ultimate mod; Mission overhauls
The explosions power set for the Norway 1 mission is 20000 by default.

What about my other newly edited H&D Deluxe missions? Did you play them all already or just Italy 3?

They are not weak, but you are far enough to not get injured or kiled..

Re: H&D Deluxe; the ultimate mod; Mission overhauls
Yes, i reverted their power back to 2200 value in both inventory tables.
However, there is another value responsible for the grenade damage power. I changed it from the stock value from 4000 to 2000.
Let it be as it is. Frag grenades in games are way too powerful.
I saw on many WWII movie footages, that you could actually survive a close blast from a frag grenade (or even artillery shell) if you are lucky enough and laying down on the ground.

Oh boy, I am going to have lug around a shitload of dynamite to make up for that. I am a pyromaniac/demolitionist at heart; I love blowing stuff up.
My family thinks I am time-waster by destroying non-objective stuff, but I think of myself as realistic. Would you honestly leave that intact equipment* behind for the Germans to use?
*I.e. parked tanks, idle locomotives, fuel-tanker railcars, etc.

That is only your problem, lol.
I once saw an American training film on YouTube from around 1943 about anti-tank rifles (like British Boys).
The instructor praised it as a Wonder weapon, lol. In reality, such rifles could only destroy light tanks and maybe only damage medium tanks if you were lucky. Poor bastards, that believed his words.
As for anti-tank grenades, well - you need to be very couragious to get so close to an enemy tank to use it, lol.
The same with anti-tank magnetic mines and stuff like that.
However, this wouldn't be a problem for Russian soldiers - while having NKVD officers on their backs ready to shoot any retreating soldiers.

But it's late for me, and I have a staff meeting tomorrow, so I will have to test later.
