Is there any special tutorials you would like to have about H&D and 3D Studio Max? I posted some things in the old forum and since they are gone now :( I need to know what you need.

Well there is something i haven?t checked out now the volumes in max. As far as i looked at it they where helpers (right?) but when i use them i only can change their scale and not their form. Or are these volumes normal polys hidden and added with the option {vol} ?? anyone knows that ?

H&D doesn't neccessary like re-formed dummies, but you can still make them.

When you make a dummy object in 3dmax, apply edit mesh to it and then you can re-form it.

Dummies are mainly used for dynamic object to tell the game what part of the model it should move. You can also convert them to volumes the way Lars described.

In the old forum you posted a way how to form ways and streets by cutting them out from the ground if I remember correcty.
Could you please discribe once more how you do it?! I know how to detach a piece of a plane, but I wonder anyway, because I have a grid of let say roughly 2m x 2m which doesn't result in smooth bends when cutting.
