Battlefield 3

Unread post by Jason » Sat Feb 05, 2011 2:52 am

Well DICE canceled Battlefield 1943 for the PC  but announce Battlefield 3 is their focus. Hopefully this means some great modding tools for the fans to make a great WW2 COOP game, with bots

Fuck modern games. Fuck modern warfare. Fuck all consoles. Give me PC WW2 gaming with bots!!!

Here! Here!

And long live single player too. Give me an awesome narrative or tactical game of the period as well.

Well if you are just against the modern, try Mount and Blade, and the standalone expansion, Warband. Go with the original first, unless you are an oldergraphicsphobe.

They just released a new version of the original - http://download.taleworlds.com/mountand ... hanced.exe - which removes, among adding other things, a nagging large party management issue. Requirements are pretty low, if you can run HD2 or even HDD, you can run this.

It takes places in a fictional, but historically based, European region, starting in 1257. The expansion updates textures and adds new weapons, some weapons 50 to 100 years before their time. No problem as you can easily mod this game, welcome to 1357. Also a new faction and reintroducing a forced into, but can opt out of, storyline. As well as, of course, other things.

 never would have guessed you'd be into that sort of game. I'm on youtube trying to work out what sort of gameplay it is suppose to have? is it a simple kill the enemy game or is there more to it than that?

Try the game... Your loss if you don't. fingers01

You are downloading the full game, it is try before you buy. You get stalled at around level 7. It has some role playing elements, but it is mostly a 1st and 3rd person shooter with horses, set in the Middle Ages.

I have never seen a video of this game online that didn't have idiots playing it. Your best bet is to watch the Warband trailer.

There is more scripted gameplay footage of this steaming pile of scripted bullshit... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uA378g_gD1I

The graphics and effort is wasted, shame.

Just makes me go back to playing real PC games from 1998-2003 grin01
