The Germans are shooting back and actually they killed few partisans few times (i tested this mission only in the HDD editor), but they also took some casualties. Each time you start my newest modified Italy4 mission, the results of the fight between partisans and Germans could be different.

Except for the black helmets, we use such uniform texture in some H&D Deluxe missions. At least it is very similar, lol. See picture below.

I though about adding few American POWs into the hill in Ardennes 2 mission as you suggested some time ago.

However, i see no place for them to escape from the "Malmedy massacre", because they are surrounded by German infantry and tanks.

One Tiger tank will arrive along the side road when the mission begins, together with 2 German soldiers.

Let's not forget about the last Tiger that will arrive along the main road.

American POWs are located in the center of the hill. All the others "red" objects seen on the picture are Germans. Some of them are hidden between trees and actually not seen in the picture.

OK, i decided to make a FINAL UPDATE of the Norway 3 mission. thup01

Beside already implemented changes i made few new ones:

- locomotive added (see picture below),

- changed behavior of some German soldiers - now they will guard or patrol assigned areas,

- changed statistics of some German soldiers,

- small bugs fixed,

- objects collision optimized.


Please download and test this mission.

Even if no American POWs can escape, some extras should still run instead of simply "taking it like a man", but I digress.

I think a better idea is having an extra German tank driving down the dirt road where some American AT mines are located, ensuring that the American mines weren't wasted.

As for Norway 3, thanks for adding the locomotive.

Running and hoping the tank doesn't hit you is thrilling!

I just wish Objectives 2 and 3 could be swapped, and then "destroy the Hydroplane" got changed to "secure the Hydroplane". Like, if only there was some way to turn the metal walkway into an "escape point".

Did you complete the Greece 2 mission? What about those 2 T-34 tanks that i added? Did you manage to destroy them?

It is possible, but this will require to re-write the mission objectives and it would be incompatible with the pre-mission briefing. I don't like that idea.

Instead it would be a waste of my time (adding a German tank, its crew and programming it to drive into the mines - assuming that i know where the mines are located).

Just retested Italy 4.
No partisans were around. Either the rapture hit and they vanished, or they deserted.

This is impossible! Open my newest Italy4 mission with HDD editor and locate the partisans yourself if you don't believe me. I tested this mission few times.

I programmed the partisans to hold their positions, so they will open fire on the Germans in front of them as soon as the mission starts. The partisans will shoot as long as they have ammo and stay alive.

4 men armed with scoped Lee Enfield rifles. Just in front of the farm buildings, on the other side of the river between mountains. Most of them are laying on the ground, so they could be hard to spot. They could be killed by Germans, but their dead bodies will remain.

See picture below taken from HDD editor. Those partisans are marked by red color (non-static collision volumes).

OK, i played my newest Italy4 mission myself to locate those "missing partisans".

I found them where they should be. Before i arrived at the farm, they manage to kill at least one German soldier, but at least one of the 4 partisans was killed. See pictures below. thup01

Before reporting false alarms, you should first play a mission thoroughly and be more patient. :roll:

I wonder how is the look on your face in this moment, lol. funny01

Ah, ok, found them. They apparently either ran out of ammo or were killed long before I got to see them shoot. The German snipers were so good, I don't think the partisans killed a single German.

As for Greece 4, too bad the developers didn't give Kostakipolos a unique look. But I do wonder; the instructions mention the possibility of NKVD officers being present in the base, why not have some of those Soviet officers in the area? There could be one in the map room with that Partisan who speaks German, and another hiding in the kitchen (cocina) with Kostakipolos.

Those armored railway cars gave me an idea, in Norway 3, why not move the locomotive so that it's on the other end, facing the other way, and have the armored car where you originally put the locomotive. That would definitely shock my family. funny01

You could use them in Norway 1 as well. :twisted:

I'm playing Greece 2 right now. Very good job with the first T-34; it's firing field covers 99% of all attack routes.
