OK, i edited the Italy 3 mission once again thup01 .

Beside already implemented changes i added a static box collision volume to each armored railway car with MGs.

It seems, that in each of those armored railway cars there was one missing box collision volume, so it was possible to kill the crew inside even with small arms fire. I added those collisions manually, because they were not included in the armored railway car model (it seems, that the H&D Deluxe developers added those collisions later in Italy 4 mission).

Now everything should be OK.

Please download and test this mission.

Please let me know if the problem still exist.

Due to some problems with the armored railway cars collisions, i edited and uploaded the Norway 1 mission again on 19.10.2017.

I also uploaded again the Danube 3 mission. Let's hope, that now the collisions on those armored railway cars would be OK. Head back to the original Danube 3 mission post for the modified mission (page 34).

OK, i decided to make a FINAL UPDATE of data.dta archive. thup01

Beside already implemented changes i made few new ones:

- now it would be possible to blow up parked planes with light machine-guns and mounted machine-guns,

- now all grenades are slightly less powerful; now it won't be possible to blow up tanks or armored railway cars using frag grenades.


I think, that now the H&D Deluxe would be more realistic this way.

OK, i decided to make a FINAL UPDATE of the Italy 1 mission. thup01

Beside already implemented changes i made few new ones:

- stock H&D 1 halftrack model replaced with the one from FFF expansion (more realistic),

- now the halftrack will be manned by 3 German soldiers (driver, passenger and mounted MG operator), so there will be no possibility to steal it,

- now the patrol boat will be manned by 2 German soldiers (driver and mounted MG operator), so there will be no possibility to steal it,

- tactical map updated,

- small bugs fixed.


NOTE: The patrol boat cannot be destroyed for some reason. However, the mounted MG is usable.

Beside already implemented changes i updated the tactical map to show the position of the locomotive, 3 armored railway cars and other railway cars with cargo. However, i didn't manage to add the AA gun and one Tiger tank to the tactical map view for some unknown reason. See picture below.

Damn my eyes, I should have read your whole note. Now it's too late, as I have downloaded your Data.

Grenades are weak! They can't destroy anything; tanks, railway cars, (armored or passenger), halftracks, locomotives, and even infantry require two grenades sometimes, as if the grenade's blast radius is tiny.

You know that AT grenades existed during the war, right? And that the UK alone invented two of them; the Gammon and the HEAT grenade. And the USSR had an AT grenade that was shaped like a potato-masher, or a very large microphone.

As always you are complaining. I was always sure, that you will write this. :roll:

Frag grenades should not destroy a tank or armored halftrack. They would fragment after explosion to many small, very hot pieces intended to harm humans. As for their power i could restore it back to 2200 value (now is 2000).

EDIT: All grenades power changed back to their default values (2200).


P.S. I am waiting for you request to add Stinger and Tomahawk missiles into H&D Deluxe. That would teach those pesky Nazi a lesson. funny02

Wow, seriously? 200 damage points is all that makes the difference?

It's especially weird how the damage doesn't "stack up", like if I throw a dozen 2000-damage frags, they won't hurt the power transformer, passenger railcar, or a halftrack, but a single 2200-damage does the trick.

Correction: " so there will be no possibility to steal it,", not "stole it".

You only think you are funny.

I am no time-traveler, but I do see certain weapons as "stand-ins" for other weapons that existed in that era; like the potato-masher grenade can stand in for an AT-grenade*, or a Colt 45 can stand in for the Tokarev.

What effect would 2100 damage be for the grenade?

Too bad the developers didn't have a moving train in Italy 3 like they do in Italy 1.
