Hello everyone,

i would like to share with you my twelfth created mission add-on for Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe, it is called "The connoisseur of art".

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Unpack all the rar archives into your H&D Deluxe data folder (i.e.: C:\Program Files\Take2\Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe\data) and replace data.dta and models.dta with the new one. The mission add-on is a file with *.add extension. Start the game, choose play add-on and select "The connoisseur of art" from the menu.

MISSION BRIEFING

A collection of priceless stolen French paintings are hidden somewhere in the abandoned farmhouse in Bavaria, Germany. Our objectives are to find the truck with the paintings and drive to the end of the road - on the second side of the glade. A German officer received an order from Goering to hide the paintings in secure place. If the officer hears the gunshots, he will escape using the truck with paintings. That cannot happen! Watch our for enemy patrols and snipers hidden between trees. Good luck!

We liked this mission a lot! We rate 4.4/5. The snipers in the trees were a good challenge. The machine gunners were easy pickings. What this part of the story line of the campaign mission where you defend the airport? Also the truck was stuck in a wall, not sure if this was on purpose.

Hi,

thank You for You feedback. The map is taken from the Yugoslavian campaign of H&D Deluxe, when You need to defend the "airport" and wait for Lancaster bomber to pick up your team. To be honest, i never tested much this mission. I will try to fix this bug and re-upload the mission again.

I edited the mission, so the truck will not drive into the barn walls anymore. I changed the position of the truck, so it will be easier for the German officer to drive off the barn and escape. To complete first objective the player need to be close to the truck within 5 meters. To complete the second objective (and the mission) the player need to drive the truck to the end of the road just opposite the starting location. Destroying the truck will result in mission failure. I removed some enemy patrolling guards around and inside the barn, because sometime the German officer drive into them with truck and kill them

EDIT:

I made some additional small changes:

- the player could still kill the oficer when he actually drives the truck and capture it to complete the first objective (before the player was forced to locate the truck when it was parked inside the barn which was unrealistic and too complicated).

Head to the first post in this topic - i re-uploaded the mission once again. This will be the final update - i am not planning any more changes.
