3rd mission weird thing - need help
3rd mission weird thing - need help
I found that if I move my 3 men to the dock area, then trigger the rescue conversation in the hut between the pilot and my remaining man in the woods, then the remaining 3 in the docks magically seem to die and there is nothing I can do about it :( I have but them in tactical positions where they can't possibly be seen, yet still they seem to magically die (and I think there are gunshot noises).
I can't see / don't think there is anyone that could be shooting them - is this just the games way of forcing me to clear my men from the dock area before it brings in the rest of the germans and the boat crew? Seems a bit of dodgy programming to me :(

One possibility could be that the game is bugging quite much again.
I recommend keeping your men (which are inside the complex) somewhere nearby the main gate or something to prevent this.

The thing is, I don't think it is a bug - it seems intentional, so that you can't have your men in a good easy position, or where the allied boat crew magically appear. It just seems very badly thought out. Yer, I can keep them away from the area where they die - if I put them to the far left of the boxes, just a bit behind cover. The only problem with this is that I can now not get out without a big firefight, where as if they were on the pier I could take out a few and then "run away" so to speak :D
Re: 3rd mission weird thing - need help
Well that firefight part may be annoying but you just need to use the house to your own advatange and that´s it

Re: 3rd mission weird thing - need help
what house? :S
Re: 3rd mission weird thing - need help
The house where you find the pilot from.
Since when you get him you´l notice that the forest is crawling with Germans around and some are quite near the house already.

Oh sorry, yes, the house bit is not a problem - you can run off in the van pretty quick
What I meant is that it magically spawns some germands in the compound meaning you can't get to the peir / boat without being seen and all hell kicking off, hehe :)

Best to kill all those in the forest before you approach Sygurd. You should have a german uniform, equip yourself with german weapons, then you can run around & cut their throughts . This is also a good way to up your stealth.Oldih wrote: The house where you find the pilot from.

hehe, yer, this would be possible, but I don't have a knife :D - until I speak to the pilot that is - but by then it's too lateGrimples wrote:Best to kill all those in the forest before you approach Sygurd. Ah okay, thanks viatminh :) I guess I will just have to live with it :D
On a side note, does stealth actually do anything in multiplayer? (i doubt it? :S)
Re: 3rd mission weird thing - need help
It is not so useful in MP as it is in SP to say it in simple way.On a side note, does stealth actually do anything in multiplayer?

Re: 3rd mission weird thing - need help
Does it even do anything in multiplayer though? I can't understand what it would do :S
Re: 3rd mission weird thing - need help
I've always thought characters with higher stealth are less likely to make any noise when sneaking. Sometimes your character does make a step noise when in sneak mode, always thought the chance of that was affected by sneak skill. That would affect multiplayer but it's not really an issue usually - even when they're alone you can run up behind most people and they won't turn around. I think it would only be important in partisan matches.
