Re: DayZ - Arma 2 mod
My apologies for the misinformation. Edited my previous as needed. That's what late night posting gets you. Was having a look at some of the standalone expansions. In fact I originally bought my brother Reinforcements as a gift. As I did not have a comp that could run Arma II until recently. As a po...

Re: DayZ - Arma 2 mod
Arma II has increased in sales. The advent of the Day Z mod put Arma as the No. 1 downloaded game on steam from relative obscurity. And Bohemia has been motivated to allocate funding of the project so as to promote the series in anticipation for the III game.

Re: Illusion Softworks, Where are they now?
Its a shame really. However, lets hope that the series name doesn't end up in a situation like Operation Flashpoint. Perhaps by a miracle someone may be inspired by the model and attempt a go. I'm not holding my breath though. WWII themed games and tactical shooters are both in short supply. Hardly ...

Re: They Dared and Won
The site itself gives a price tag of up £2,500 for signed editions which also include an additional 24 page chapter on the SAS's post-war German hunting activities. Apparently after official disbandment when their Norway mission was complete in '45!! This will detail the price situation. http://www....

They Dared and Won
Fascinating news from the UK. The SAS in a bid to raise funds for their wounded and elderly veterans has released the official SAS War Diary which details the all the WWII operations from its L Detachemnt Origins to its 1945 Norway activities. includes 1 & 2 SAS along with SBS records. I first learn...

Game Font
I was having a shufti through the bmp files and noticed the "editfont" file which displays euro style font characters. I was thinking about changing the game fonts to type writer style fonts for a little more immersion and period style. Any thoughts on where the game font file is kept? I noticed a f...

Re: Editing soldier stats
So I've been editing the names, playing with the values and such to effect. However I'm stuck on trying to alter the names of the player. I'm viewing the values in hex editor with ASCI II 7 bit. The problem is failure to load the game due to my changing of these particular values. Example, (#.....#...

Re: Editing soldier stats
I'd actually like to see both in game. Personally I feel they should have used the SMLE instead of the '03 Springfield. The Springfield optics model should have been a P14 with scope too.

Re: Editing soldier stats
Much appreciated! That did the trick. Edit with the hex editor and different values and overwrite the originals in the tables folder. Now I can create new soldiers and backgrounds from scratch!! My mod should come along nicely now. Great work on cracking those 3D models. I've been following that thr...

Re: Editing soldier stats
I know how to mod sounds, skins, menus and text, scene2 files with the various editors, films and that's about it. If you did tell me before, perhaps a reminder?

Re: Editing soldier stats
Yes it does make sense Kyle.
So the question is what file houses the original stats compositions... In discovering the problem you've encountered, I'm searching for that currently.

Re: Editing soldier stats
A1 work Kyle and to echo..Thanks for sharing! I myself was just thinking how to go about editing them using Maj Disaster's work as a rough guide but it turns out you've done it first and saved me the trouble. http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/images/smilies/metalb.gif But I'm sure the day of ult...
